Syaoran Li only came to Japan to capture all the mystical Clow Cards. At first, Sakura-chan was his rival. Syaoran disliked Sakura-chan because she was weak and knew nothing about the Clow Cards, and that Kero had chosen such a weak cardcaptor. As they captured all the Clow Cards, Syaoran began to like Sakura-chan for her kindness towards him, and tries his best to help Sakura whenever he can. Syaoran was also attracted to Yukito but only because he had the power of the moon inside him. With Tomoyo-chan's encouragement, Syaoran slowy opens up to Sakura-chan.

When Eriol came to Tomoeda, Syaoran despied him for being so close to Sakura-chan. When the last battle arrived, Syaoran helped Sakura defeat the darkness and in the end, recieved victory. At that very moment, Syaoran finally said those three words he had been hiding to Sakura. "I Love You!"
